The students of the Department of Fashion & Textiles, had the opportunity to attend the prestigious Jaipur Times Fashion Week 2025. This event showcased a blend of tradition and innovation in couture, featuring renowned designers and collections that celebrated India's rich heritage while embracing modern aesthetics.
Highlights of the Fashion Shows
Doyna by Arita Kashyap: Collection "Dapun"
The collection paid homage to Assam's silk, heritage, and craftsmanship. It celebrated traditional textiles like Muga, Eri, and Paat, which were beautifully transformed into ensembles for the modern bride.Inspired by the glow of dawn, the color palette included natural gold, white, rust, and orange-red, symbolizing sunrise.Each drape and motif carried stories of Assamese resilience and artistry, making "Dapun" not just fashion but a tribute to timeless beauty.
Yuvti by Bhupendra Singh
This collection was inspired by Rajputi culture and showcased handcrafted luxury poshaks and sarees made from tissue, satin, and chiffon.
The ensembles featured intricate zardozi work, shimmering sequins, and traditional gota patti designs.The color palette ranged from bold brights to soft pastels, catering to festive occasions and grand celebrations.Designed for the modern-day queen, this collection blended heritage with haute couture.
