Objective of the workshop: To provide an overview and techniques of fabric texture rendering and motifs design.
Description:
Department of Fashion and Textiles conducted a one-day workshop, exclusively for the students of COSD Fashion Designing on 4th May 2022 in Clothing Lab from 09:30 am to 10:30 am on the topic Liquid Embroidery and Texture Rendering. The resource person for the workshop was Ms. Raj Dholiwal, Fashion Artist & Instructor, Pidilite Fevicryl Colours, Jaipur. The workshop was planned with an aim to develop and enhance skills towards Embroidery without using thread.
Students were asked to bring the following material: -
Ms. Dholiwal explained the different form and uses of Liquid Embroidery Paint. The embroidery paint comes in array of shades and with some glitter . She demonstrated free hand embroidery technique using Pidilite Fevicryl Colours and 3D outliner. She used 3D colours on cotton fabric to give the effect of embroidery. Such techniques can be used on T-shirts, Scarf, Saree and Kurtas. She demonstrate the techniques to achieve round and embossed look after drying. This feature enables to create an embroidered appearance without needle and thread. There can be various numerous techniques and textures design which can be easily made by the students.

Outcome of the activity: The students enthusiastically participated in the workshop. This workshop was very fruitful for the students as it helped them to create their own designs with innovating. Students learned different techniques of embroidery and textures design by using fabric paints.
