The Students will be able to:

  • Draping principles
  • Preparation of muslin before draping
  • Draping and Construction of Basic bodice and basic skirt block
  • Adaptation of Bodice:                                                         30 hrs
    • Manipulating dart excess at different locations
    • Dividing dart excess- Waist and side seam ; waist and shoulder
    • Dart equivalents – Gathers, pleats and tuck darts
    • Asymmetrical darts
    • Intersecting darts
    • Princess line
    • Halters
    • Cowl
  • Adaptation of Skirt:                                                              24 hrs   
  • A-Line: Flared, Panel
  • Gathered
  • Pleated
  • Stylized yoke with flare, gathers and pleats
  • Peplons and Godets
  • Construction of one Top and one Skirt according to the current trend using drapingtechnique           24hrs
