To acquaint students with the techniques of flat pattern making.

Drafting of basic Bodice, Skirt, Sleeve and Trouser block

Drafting of basic Bodice, Skirt, Sleeve and Trouser block
Flat pattern design on bodice block through 26 hrs
Dart manipulation:
Moving, Dividing and combining darts by pivot & slash and spread
Converting dart into:
Seam lines, Gathers, Pleats, Tucks, and Yokes
Skirt dart manipulation 14 hrs
Moving basic dart by slash and pivot method
Decorative darts

Converting dart to flare

Methods of grading- Tracks and Stack Method
Grading children & women basic bodice, sleeve and skirt blocks to various sizes
Preparing pattern and grading of one torso design
