CONTENT

I: Introduction to Fashion Styling                  (10 Hours)

  • Role and responsibilities of a fashion stylist
  • Overview of the fashion industry, fashion terms, and fashion language
  • Different types of clothing and details used in fashion industry

II: Style Analysis                                            (10 Hours)

  • Analyzing and identifying different face shapes and their characteristics
  • Style according to face shape, hairstyle, and features (jewelry and glasses)
  • Analyzing body proportions and types of figures
  • Illusions in dressing with lines, fabrics, texture, colours, and scale

III: Body shape analysis                                (10 Hours)                            

  •   Understanding different body shapes and their characteristics
  •   Identifying styles, silhouettes, colors, and prints that flatter each body shape
  •   Practicing body shape analysis on models or classmates

IV: Styling for different occasions                     (10 Hours)                                                                  

  • Identify the latest fashion trends, styles, colors, and prints from fashion editorials
  • Choose styles, colors, and prints that flatter different body shapes
  • Create looks for different occasions using garments, accessories, and makeup
  • Understand the dress codes for different events and occasions
  • Create a versatile wardrobe capsule for different seasons and body types
  • Conduct a photo-shoot to document and showcase the styling work
  • Discuss sustainable fashion practices and how to incorporate them into styling choices

V: Makeover                                                                (15 Hours)                                                                

  • Understanding how to create a personalized makeover for a client
  • Identifying the client's style and preferences
  • Combining garments, accessories, and makeup to create a new look for the client
  • Documenting the look through a photoshoot
