Venue:   G.P.S Hajyawala, Kalyanpura, Jaipur

No. of Participants:  04 students (B.sc Fashion Design: SEM I and III)

Objective of the activity (workshop): Children’s Day was celebrated by distributing garments, Fashion accessories and Home Furnishing items. These were upcycled by students of the Department.

Description:

The Department of Fashion & Textiles celebrated Children’s Day on 14^th November; 2022.Four students, along with the two faculty members, Dr. Sunetra Datt and Ms. Disha Thapliyal visited at G.P.S Hajyawala Kalyanpura, Sanganer, Jaipur. It is a Government Primary school, Co-Education with total no of 91 students.

The main objective was to spread happiness by distributing products made by the students of Fashion & Textiles. The products consisted of Frocks, Cushion Covers, Napkins, and Pouches. The volunteers were enthusiastic while interacting with the school children. Fun activities such as Singing & Dancing were also conducted by the student volunteers.  

Outcome of the activity:

The activity proved fruitful as it brought smiles on the children. They were happy on receiving the products created by the students of Fashion & Textiles. The students learnt the value of sharing and caring.
