Activity: Orientation Programme for COSD Fashion Designing (Certificate)

Objective of the Programme:

The objective of the orientation programme was to familiarize the students regarding the course structure with focus on credit system, examination scheme, programme objectives, department activities, department culture and best practices of the department.It was aimed to bridge the gap between students and faculties.

 

Summary/Description:

Department of Fashion & Textiles organized an orientation programme exclusively for the student of COSD Fashion Designing (Certificate) on 16th September 2022.

The COSD orientation programme 2022 was coordinated by Dr. Vipin Kumari .Thestudents were welcomed by Dr. Vipin Kumari, Assistant Professor& Coordinator COSD, Department of Fashion & Textiles.

 

She briefed the students about the faculty profile, course-wise credits, examination system with reference to continuous assessment (C.A.) and semester end examination (SEE),information regarding time table, infrastructure, library, departmental library.Ms. DishaThapliwalbriefed to the students about the programme outcome and learning outcome of the courses.

Afterwards, Dr. Amandeep Kaur provide the details of library system, extra-curricular activities like industrial visits, guest lectures,workshops and many cultural events.

In continuation of session, Dr.SunetraDuttshared the best practices of the Department of Fashion & Textiles like fashion show and many more.

Twenty three students attended orientation session of COSD Fashion Designing (Certificate). In the end there was question answer session. All queries of the students were answered by Dr. Vipin Kumari.After completion of the Orientation students filled the feedback form.

 

Outcome of the Programme

Students were satisfied and interacted with faculties and were comfortable withtheir choice of mandatoryCOSD: Fashion Designing.
