Objective: 
  1. To understand the suitability, color trends, customer demand, market segment, in production range for home furnishing etc.

 

  1. Types of Home Textiles (woven and non-woven)

          Prepare the scrap book for the following:

  • Doors and windows- curtains, draperies.                                        10 hrs                                     
  • Furnishing for living room and bedroom- sofa, cushion covers, upholistries, bolsters, bed sheets, bed spread, comforters, mattress.             10 hrs
  • Furnishing for kitchen, dinning and bathroom- dish cloth, hand towels, bathroom linens                                                                                     10 hrs                                                                                                   
  1. Collect 10 different woven samples and analyze them by your previous knowledge and select any one sample for production.                  30 hrs                                              
  2. Develop any two range of following no. of articles where each range shall consists of 4 concepts.                                                                         30 hrs                             
  • Prepare samples of home furnishing item using block, screen, stencil, and tie and dye.
